My first blog post of seriousness is about a Scientific America article. This journal is considered to be one of the more elitist and popular journals among scientists. This is evident by the fact that their articles where cited by other articles 4,993 times in 2006. It is read by most of the scientific community, and is known for being on the cutting edge.
So here is the cool thing. They have unlocked an article in the Jan. 9th, 2008 issue. What does that mean? The author is inviting for collaboration. Although it is not a wiki style article, which in my opinion would have been a better way to collaborate, it is a blog format with comments and all. The article is about Web 2.0 technologies and researchers. It is about “Science 2.0”. The author has posted some questions for some truly thought provoking discussion. They have already had 89 comments, and most of the ones I scanned seemed to be positive. You can view the article at Sci Am, and contribute your own thoughts!

I had to jump on the bandwagon and create a trading card.  I used Bighugelabs to create mine.
